Environmental Consulting
HK Environmental offers a wide range of consulting services to include pre or post demolition and renovation inspections, mitigation, restoration and remediation surveys, risk assessments, pre listing or purchasing inspections, hazardous verifications and more. Our environmental, occupational, health and safety experts coordinate with a range of contractors, technical departments and regulatory agencies to provide you with the solutions you’ve been looking for.
Environmental Risk Assessments
This types of surveys identify potential or existing contamination on a property and project site. It can provide you with a chemical analysis of the source or cause of contamination, how severe it is, and the dangers of exposure to it. At HK Environmental we offer in-depth quantitative and qualitative investigations to identify the presence of hazardous substances and other materials within structures as well as the outdoors too.
Radon Testing
According to the EPA, Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer and the number one cause among non-smokers diagnosed with cancer. Radon is a radioactive element that is part of the decaying process of naturally occurring uranium in soils and rock. It can be found both indoors and throughout the outdoor environments. It’s tasteless and odorless, and can be found as a gas form within the air or can leach into the groundwater of a property. HK Environmental can help to test, inspect or mitigate radon from your home, commercial buildings and work site.
Restoration Action Plan
HK Environmental can draw up a comprehensive restoration action plan, scope of work, or site specific protocol that will provide detailed steps on how to correctly remediate and restore the property so it can be safe to work, live and play in. If a property is deemed unsafe, we are here to assist you throughout the clean up process and can provide you with the appropriate resources or guidance needed to navigate through the different industry standards and regulations.
Soil & Water Testing
If contamination has also affected the soil and water of a property, HK Environmental can take samples and provide laboratory analysis to find out the extent of the contamination.
